ONE of the midlands’ leading ladies in music has been telling the Base Sessions about her new Mischief-making project.
Vix Perks found fame with 80s band We’ve Got a Fuzzbox and We’re Gonna Use It – who had hits including Pink Sunshine and International Rescue.
Fuzzbox eventually went their separate ways and Vix established herself as a singer/songwriter and TV presenter in her own right.
In recent years she has kept on gigging, previously with her band Vix and the Kicks and now as part of her latest project, Americana band Vix & her MsChiefs.
The all-girl band is having a busy summer playing festivals across the region including a gig at the Women Chainmakers event in Cradley Heath earlier this month.
The band is currently calling on fans to get involved in crowd funding the production of a new EP, called Music and Mischief, by pledging cash to buy the EP ahead of its recording to cover costs.
When the band hits its target the EP will be produced and pledgers will get a copy ahead of general release - if they do not get to the target, no cash is taken.

The Base sessions is recorded and produced by Base Studios in Stourbridge.
