Local estate agency Connells in Halesowen has seen more home buyers and property sales in the first quarter of 2012.

Compared to the first three months of 2011, its figures show increased activity across the market including a five per cent increase in those looking to buy a home and a five per cent increase in home sales.

Alongside its sales figures, Connells has recorded a 13 per cent increase in the number of customers booking mortgage appointments as buyers seek to finance their home move.

“It’s fantastic to see the market picking up in the first three months of this year,” says branch manager Susan Evans.

“Although interest in buying a home has been increasing for a while, we are now seeing buyers taking decisive action. Buyers are getting off the fence and this renewed confidence is translating to sales.”

Connells is urging anyone looking to sell and move home to get in touch and book a market appraisal of their home. “We expect current high activity levels to continue in the coming months, especially as the weather improves and buyers come out in full force,” Susan continues.

“It is a good idea to get your home on the market soon in order to catch these buyers as early as possible.”
