I’m proud to live in Redditch.

I love the people who are so giving, the strong sense of community, our wonderful open spaces and rich heritage. Yet I’ve seen first-hand the challenges facing local people under this Conservative led government and I am convinced we can do better.

Being the eldest of four I remember when Redditch had no maternity ward - travelling to Birmingham on public transport when mum was heavily pregnant, with the little ones in tow and the difficulties that causes when there are problems. An accessible, safe NHS is a life line for local people, something I will fight for.

During the Thatcher years my father was in and out of work and I experienced the challenges for families in low paid, insecure employment.

I want everyday people, like my family, to be able to make the best of their lives and that’s why I first became a councillor for Church Hill in 2004, to help improve the area where I grew up.

If you vote for me I will fight for the Alex, prioritise education and jobs, work for a recovery for all and stand up for the issues that matter in the Redditch Constituency.
