Peter Jewell was born in Redditch he lived in the area until he was 17.
He played Rugby and cricket in Southern Africa, this inevitably lasted twenty years. He was a director and major shareholder of a number of companies including the diamond and jewellery trade and aviation operating mainly cargo aircraft. Amongst other companies he was a major shareholder in an international consultancy, Peter is also Chairman of the British & Commonwealth Cricket Trust He is a director of WCCC and audit chairman, until July the Chairman of Bromsgrove and Redditch Magistrates Court, he is a member of the English Cricket Board Discipline Commission. He was a Tribunal Judge sitting on the Valuation Tribunal Peter is married to Yuleen, daughter Shannon.
Far from being your archetypal politician, after meeting Nigel Farage two years ago and being totally disillusioned with politics he became fully involved with UKIP. He said I am not a political prostitute and will only stand for the County of my birth, Nigel Farage said “Peter is what politics needs people with experience of all aspects of life and business”
