A PUB in Droitwich is closing its doors this week in order to undergo a complete refurbishment.

The Robin Hood in Rashwood, which originally opened in the 19th century, is opening out its dining area, and adding new glass divides to increase seating, as well as introducing and additional outdoor dining space.

In spite of the changes though, the pub still hopes to retain its character and atmosphere.

James Milner, general manager at The Robin Hood, said: “Our guests have come to know and love our unique offer here at The Robin Hood, and we’re excited to be bring these new changes to complement what we already do well, which includes great food, great service and a great atmosphere.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming our guests – both old and new – back to The Robin Hood when it reopens to experience the next stage of its rich history.”

The pub is closing for the start of the refurbishment work on Sunday, May 18, and plans are for it to reopen at midday on Friday, May 23.
