A SCHOOL in Worcestershire has been handed a new food hygiene rating.

Ombersley Endowed First School And Nursery, based on Droitwich Road in Ombersley, underwent a food hygiene inspection by the Food Standards Agency on April 19.

The inspection covered a wide range of areas that included ratings for hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety.

The school was awarded a good rating for its hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and for management of food safety.

All of these combined meant that it scored an overall food hygiene rating of five stars - the highest mark that a school can receive.
